I wish to apologize to everyone, I haven’t been on WoW in a little over 4 months….maybe it’s been less I’m not sure…lost track.

I’ll try to post something….not sure…when…nor…how…but I’ll surely…surely I’ll try to do something.

Maybe I can do something with Frazle…even thought he’s technically not a character I have anymore till I remake him on Arthas, he’ll be going through some changes though. No longer a Death Knight…possibly a time before he became a Death knight….probably make him a Mage….that’d be funny to see his spells blow up in his face.

Anyway…it’s not the end…if you were linked here from Twitter I am still alive, and I will be back. Just not sure when.

Much love,
Takani

P.S. – Doubt I’ve been missed.

Elyndren was exhausted. She sank down against a wall during a break in the chaos and took a swig of Kungaloosh. Instead of relief, she felt a wave of frustration wash over her. She glared around at the desolation surrounding her in the Dwarven District. Why was she here? That thought was quickly followed by a second question: did it really matter? She had been plagued by dreams, she came to Stormwind, now rifts were opening nearly every hour, filling the streets with dangerous Elementals. Clearly the city needed warriors, adventurers, and anyone brave enough (or stupid enough) to fight.

But defenders were needed everywhere. Rifts were opening in every corner of the world including the far north. Rumor had it that rifts were opening off-world too, on Outland. The threat was unavoidable: why had Elune sent her here, to the human capital? She ground her teeth and took another swig of the potent fruit punch she had become fond of in Sholazaar. She was not accustomed to feeling aimless, purposeless. Elune had her ways and they were frequently mysterious until after the entire set of events unfolded.

She chuckled to herself ruefully. What had she been expecting, really? She hardly expected to walk into that tavern and have everyone would look up and exclaim, “She’s here! The one from prophecy is here!” While that would have been extremely convenient (and a bit flattering) it was hardly realistic. In fact, she was quite certain that several of the regular patrons thought she was touched in the head. She would be more amused by this thought if she weren’t so tired.

The rifts began opening about a week after her arrival. She choose to defend The Park at first. Her brethren were there, fellow druids and other kaldorei, along with a Moonwell. Even after decades of fighting alongside humans she still felt more comfortable among her own kind. If she was to be stuck in Stormwind searching for a purpose, The Park was her preferred location.

When the first rifts were closed and the first wave of Elementals were defeated the locals began to celebrate, thinking the threat over. Elyndren took the opportunity to re-provision and get some sleep in the quiet of the surrounding forest. This was fortunate, as the first attack was not the last. Rifts began to pop open several times daily, in every district simultaneously, causing chaos and panic. As the days went on the rifts opened with greater frequency. Stalwart defenders of their home initially, after three or four days many of the civilians had fled. Though the rifts were opening everywhere, remaining in the city posed unique threats: being trampled in the panic, bricks and mortar crashing down from the surrounding buildings, becoming cornered by a vicious Elemental. Besides, fewer people in the city meant fewer people she had to rescue. The city vacillated between two states: deafening waves of fighting punctuated by a barren, listless quiet as everyone scrambled to rest, to eat, to heal the wounded, to flee.

Elyndren stopped in at the Pig and Whistle daily to rest, eat quickly, share news with the others there. She had lost count of the times she spotted defenders wearing the red and black tabard in the melee of the past week. These Riders and their allies were brave and stubborn folk, that much was clear. Several had sent their children and families off to safety yet remained themselves to protect their city, to defend the Pig. On the surface they seemed to be a motley assortment but it was obvious that their ties to each other ran deep. It had been a long, long time since she had felt tied to anyone that strongly.

“Better this way,” she muttered to herself, rummaging through her pockets for a bit of food. “No one and nothing to worry about save my own skin.”

A now-familiar thrumming filled the air. Elyndren sprang to her feet, shifting into her moonkin form with a roar, her weariness forgotten for the moment. Though she preferred to rend and tear with claws, the magics inherent to this form were better suited to large groups of foes. She heard hooves as more defenders charged toward the fray. With a fierce grin, she began to conjure stormclouds, ready to tear into the Elementals as they burst from the rift once again. Perhaps she wasn’t certain of her purpose here, but she could destroy enemies with the best of them.

Believe it or not, I’ve been farming Loque for about a year?
I told myself that Rekyna my Blood Elf Hunter would not go past 76 without him and last night. Well I’ll let you take a guess at it.

I have named him Jimmy. Merely because since, well, BC this toon has had a run of interesting names.
Just to name a few:
Frank,
Bill,
Bob,
Bart,
etc.

Bob was the first pet I raided with and because of his unusual name I had to have him every raid….because they wouldn’t let me take anything else haha.
Anyway because of him this toon has had a run of funny/cool names and I’m usually open for criticism so please if you have a neat name like this then please post a comment or get in touch with me.

Anyway….enough rambling. Before I let you go though:

For a moment the waves of shambling undead broke around her and provided her feline eyes a clear view of the embattled slope. She crouched low, her breath heaving in her chest. The scent of decay and smoke tangled together in the once-clear mountain air. She wrinkled her nose at the taste of blood and gore on her fangs, a detail unnoticed during the frenzy of the fight.

A shout in the distance caught her attention over the din. A company of Sentinels clashed violently with a wave of Abominations and Necromancers. Fierce nightsabres yowled and lashed with teeth and claws, their riders swinging moonglaives with deadly accuracy. Elyndren scanned the skirmish quickly, wondering what about it had caught her ear. There! She caught a flash of pale blue hair and heard the kaldorei Huntress call out again: her daughter. She felt a wave of pride watching her daughter dispatch foes with deadly accuracy.

A movement out of the corner of her eye forced her attention back to her immediate surroundings. She spun, leaping at the unseen foe. Unnatural crypt fiend limbs swung at her. She ignored it, focusing instead on the handful of skeleton mages surrounding it. Her claws raked through the closest one and she snapped long teeth cleanly though it’s spine at the neck. The ball of ice it had been conjuring disappeared into the air. She rode the heap of bones to the ground and then pounced on the next, narrowly avoiding a bolt of flame. Something slammed into her back and she felt a snap of cold as frost spread down to her toes, even to the tips of her whiskers. She snarled in rage, fighting against the sudden slowness of her limbs. It felt as if she were swimming, as if the very air were heavy around her. She had succeeded in knocking the spellcaster to the ground, but he was channeling arcane energies into a searing fireball just inches from her face. She struggled to pull back out of his reach against the grip of the frost spell. In desperation, she closed her eyes and gave a particular mental twist and felt the strangely familiar sensation of shape-shifting. In an instant an enormous bear stood atop the mage. It slammed a heavy paw right between glowing eyes. Bones shattered with a sickening crunch and the heat from the spell vanished.

Elyndren roared in fury as the frost spell finally wore off. She focused on the four remaining mages. She rarely utilized her ursine form, but it’s seething rage and brute force did occasionally have a place. A massive paw swung in a wide arc, bisecting the first mage and toppling the other three. The whistle of a sword through the air caused her to look up sharply. She saw a young elf in full plate armor swinging a massive broadsword at the mages. He finished them off easily and they exchanged nods of respect before the swirl of battle separated them once again.

She had a nagging feeling that something was wrong. She shook her head in an attempt to clear it, to concentrate on her intuition. Then she remembered: the crypt fiend. Where had it gone? A quick pull and twist and she reverted to her cat form and was sprinting up the slope of the mountain, sharp eyes searching for the arachnid monstrosity. She realized that she was subconsciously heading in the direction of her daughter’s company of Huntresses. Where were they now? She leaped over the fallen, both enemy and ally, keeping alert for any direct threat. There! They were backed up against a rocky outcropping, cornered by several hulking abominations, ghouls, and a pair of skeleton mages. Only three of the nightsabres and six of the fierce warrior-women remained standing. The company had been decimated. Her daughter was still alive, easily picking off the ghouls with her bow while one of her cohort shielded her from projectiles and spells. It was a desperate fight, the sabres darting and slashing at the abominations, the skeleton mages hurling arcane bolts and conjuring snow storms to blind and paralyze.

Elyndren dropped into a crouch and stealthily crept up behind the pair of mages. She could turn the tide. She sprang upon the first, easily decapitating him. The second launched a volley of arcane magic into her from an arm’s length away, a volley intended for the company ahead. The bolts struck her left side, in the ribs and shoulder, and she yowled as the pain lanced through her like tiny daggers of flame. She stumbled as numbness followed pain and she struggled to remain upright. Thunk! An arrow appeared in one of the mage’s eye sockets, then another appeared in the ribcage. Elyndren glanced up at the beleaguered company and saw that only three abominations remained and one was severely injured. She began to limp her way over when a movement above them caught her eye. A crypt fiend, possibly the one she had lost, had scaled the outcropping and was descending upon them from above.

She opened her mouth to cry out when something struck her from behind. Her vision blurred and she lost her balance, collapsing to the ground. A ghoul scampered around her and was quickly dropped by another arrow. Then the screaming began. Even above the roar of the battle all around, she could hear her daughter’s scream of fear and pain as the crypt lord ambushed them. She slowly became aware of a rumbling, roaring sound emanating from farther down the slope of Hyjal; a mob of vile creations swarming up the hillside anew. Heart-racing, Elyndren forced herself to her feet and pushed her aching body toward the outcropping with a surge of adrenaline. They had to get out of here, they had to retreat up to the peak before they were overrun.

A huge hairy leg slammed into the ground in front of her face, jolting her from her hazy forward motion. The crypt fiend was directly before her, facing the other direction, cornering the remaining elves. The abominations were down, but at a great price. Only one fighting cat remained and it was injured. The four remaining fighters were all wounded but standing together. Elyndren assessed the situation and shifted into elf form and began gathering nature energy between her palms. Healing had never been her strength, but her meager spells might make the difference here. She tossed the spell at the remaining party and they straightened up a bit, pain lessened somewhat. Elyndren tossed a quick spell of Regrowth on herself and felt the pain in her left side retreat somewhat. Suddenly the crypt fiend spun around and focused on her. Did it sense her spells? Did her movement draw attention? She barely had time to blink before it pulled a foreleg back and then thrust at her. She certainly didn’t have a chance to dodge or roll away. The huge forelimb was aimed straight at her.

Yet somehow, she found herself rolling and rolling on the ground, away from the monstrosity. Someone had tackled her. She heard the crypt fiend screech in rage somewhere nearby, and kaldorei battle cries. Head spinning, she forced herself to sit up, saw her savior. Her daughter had received the brunt of the attack: impaled straight through the abdomen. Bleeding profusely she blinked up at Elyndren in a daze.

“M-mother? When….when did you get here?” And then her eyes fluttered shut.

Elyndren let loose a rare torrent of obscenities and pulled nature energy to herself in a panic, channeling healing spells into her only remaining child.

“Retreat! Retreat to the peak! This ground is overrun! Retreat!”

The cries came from the hillside below. Elyndren watched her daughter in a panic, hoping for any signs of recovery. There were none. They had to get out of here. With a roar, Elyndren shifted into bear form once more. Grasping her daughter’s clothing in her massive jaws as gently as she could she began to drag her up the mountainside.

“Please Elune, save her, please.” Her prayers grew more desperate as she put one weary paw before the other, trying madly to bring her daughter to safety. Time blurred and after a seeming eternity she spotted a tent with banners of healing green.

“Just a little farther,” she mumbled around a mouthful of leather armor.

Suddenly, she felt her daughter stirring beneath her. Hope bloomed. Elyndren carefully set her down on the ground. Twigs and leaves were caught up in the aquamarine hair.
Despite her healing spell earlier, the chestpiece glistened dark red. Elyndren shifted back to elf form and cradled her daughter’s head in her lap, gently pulling debris from her hair. The movement caused the younger woman to stir, she blinked her eyes open, and her expression changed to one of peace. Elyndren felt a chill run down her spine, a twist in her gut, an instinct that something was very, very wrong.

“I can see her, mother,” she whispered, eyes focused elsewhere. “I can see the Goddess. She is so beautiful, mother. So beautiful.”

“Can you see her? Oh! She’s calling me…”

Elyndren couldn’t breathe. She froze at the words, realization crashing over her. Her child, her beautiful daughter!

“No! No, don’t listen to her, stay with me!” Elyndren grasped both sides of her face, stared into her daughter’s eyes. Begged her to stay in the here-and-now. Not again, not again.

It was too late. The light in her daughter’s eyes began to dim as she watched. Her own vision blurred and she felt tears streaming down her cheeks. Her throat ached. Her whole world shrank down to the two of them. Desperately she tried to channel her meager healing gift again, but her grief was a distraction. Finally, her daughter gave a last sigh and the light in her eyes went out forever.

Then, darkness.

A pure and unending blackness; it felt as if she were spinning. A keening wail filled her ears, a wail that sounded hauntingly familiar.

Images, nearly too fast to make out: a raging cyclone, a river of lava, a massive landslide, an enraged water elemental. And fire, always fire.

Then: she was looking down at a tavern. It too, seemed vaguely familiar; she couldn’t place where she had seen it before. Clearly a working-man’s pub. Human architecture. As she watched, people faded into view. Humans and kaldorei mainly, but not a single familiar face. They were sitting around the table, drinking and talking. What appeared to be several druids in feline form lounging there beneath the table. Strange. Her attention was drawn to a bit of color. A tabard. Red and black. Red and black. Black. Black. Black.

Elydren woke with a start, disoriented. Where was she? Slowly she recognized her surroundings. Sholazar. She was up in her treetop home. Alone in her bed. Her dreams came back in a rush and she choked back a sob. She looked out at the moon, hanging in a crescent low in the sky. She glared at it, grief turning swiftly to anger.

“Elune, you horrible bitch,” she spat. “Seven nights in a row now. Seven!”

She swung out of bed swiftly. “Why now? Why reopen this wound?”

A low-rumble filled her ears and she could feel her arboreal home swaying as the ground trembled. The quakes were occurring more frequently, and they seemed to be getting stronger. Could there be a connection? The Goddess did not respond to her angry queries. She never did. Not directly.

“You aren’t going to let up on this one, are you? You and your dirty tricks.” Elyndren grumbled to the sky as she pulled out a large traveling pack and began jamming items inside.

Fine. I’ll go to your little tavern. But I’m not making any promises. I’m tired of you calling all the shots.”

She slammed the wooden door shut as she left. She stood on the balcony, looking out over the treetops. For a moment, she considered plummeting to the ground like a stone. With a grimace, she leapt from the ledge, then gave the familiar little twist, regained her wings, and soared gracefully though the night.

((Okay so this is Aimee’s past. The new character and Tak’s childhood friend. You learn about where she came from and what she’s like. Be warned. It’s probably not the greatest read and it’s probably got typos galore even though I did read through it. Anyway here it is. Hope you enjoy it.))

The night was cold and the rain that pounded the ground was fierce and unforgiving. The lakes of Eversong Forest were beginning to overflow and create larger puddles forcing some of the wild life to higher ground. The cobblestone roads however were mostly clear except for the occasional puddle. Horse hooves could be heard pacing across them. Its hoof beats were quick and steady, its rider protecting a small blanket from the harsh weather. The rider guided the horse across Eversong Forest and into Darrowmere Forest. As the rider reached the edge of the Forest he reached a small camp, the weather had calmed some but the rain continued. The rider dismounted his horse carefully protecting the blanket from the rain and walking slowly towards the tent.

As he opened the flap the person within got to their feet “Did you have any trouble?” The figure was a night elf, she was slim, her hair was as bright as a rose and her bright blue eyes cast a calming glow as she looked at the blanket in the man’s hands.

The rider threw back his hood, his eyes glowed a bright green. His hair flowed down his back and his ears were pointed at the tips. “No, however the guards were suspicious of a blanket in my arms. We cannot continue to do this! Someone will surely find out about our child if we continue this charade!”

“Well what you suppose we do, Tharama? We cannot put young Adelle in danger!” she said her eyes focusing on the babe as she took her from Tharama.

Tharama looked at her and frowned slightly “I know of only two things we can do…and one you shall not agree upon.”
The night elves eyes widened “I will not put my child to death Tharama! IF that’s what you are thinking!”

“It was merely an option my love….the other is that she lives with either you or me…..but not both” His face became solemn“…and I believe she’d have a better life…in your care Tirana…”

She looked at her mate and frowned “I want to do what’s best for my child but…I do not wish to never see you again…”
The baby moaned slightly and she slowly woke from a long nap. What little hair she had upon her head was as bright as her mothers. The babes’ eyes slowly opened and looked around the small tent.

“I do not wish it either…but it is for the best Tirana…I will leave you I must return to Silvermoon before my lord suspects something. Please Tirana, care for Adelle and know that I will always love you both.” He pulled her close for one final kiss before leaving the tent. The baby began to cry loudly as the sound of hoof beats conjured a somewhat ominous sound against the stones.

“It’ll be alright little one…you shall enjoy Ashenvale. I pray that one day…you will be able to meet the man I have called my husband.” Tirana looked longingly at the babe as she unfastened her shirt to allow the babe to feed.
**********************************************************
A small child ran into the house crying. “Come now, whatever is the matter I thought you were at your friend’s house.” The voice came from a room opposite the living room.

The child ran into the room her bright red hair flowing behind her as she grabbed her mother’s leg “MOMMIE! THAT MEAN BOY TOOK MY DOLL!” The child screamed almost able to shatter the glass that the child’s mother held.

“Did you ask for it back dear? I’m sure he’s merely playing with you.” The mother smiled as she looked at her.

“I DID! HE SAID HE WASN’T GOING TO GIVE IT BACK!” the child screamed just as loud as the first but slightly muffled by the sobs.

“Now quiet down sweetie and look here’s your friend now” she said motioning to the young night elf boy standing at the entrance to the kitchen. His hair was, at the moment, a bright pink. “Um….Adelle, I was only just playing, I was going to give your doll back” said the young boy holding the small makeshift doll, made of mostly linen and buttons, out for Adelle.

Adelle snatched it away from him, her grip tightening into a hug around the doll’s neck. “You shouldn’t take my dolly, Takani! That was mean!”

“I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to make you cry…I won’t do it again. I promise” He said frowning at the girl and then at her mother “I’m sorry ma’am I really didn’t mean to make her cry. I’ll go home now…” at that he bowed and ran out the door.

Tirana looked at Adelle “Now…do you forgive him?”

Adelle looked out the door as she watched a pinked haired blur race toward Darkshore’s border. She giggled, her tears quickly fading away “I think so; I was the one who asked his sisters to color his hair pink! I think it’s funny.”
Tirana laughed “I’m sure you do but you know his sisters don’t like his white hair, and you also know that he likes it. Now are you going to tell them that?”

Adelle looked at her mother and laughed “…and ruin the payback I can have, No way!”

At that Adelle ran out of the door after the pink hair boy leaving Tirana to shake her head and laugh. “That’s my girl, be home for dinner sweetie!” She yelled after her daughter and returning to the dishes he had.
****************************************************************************
“Aimee, Get back here! We’re not supposed to be in the strand!” Takani yelled his features had developed over the last years his muscled were well toned and he was about five foot tall now however now his hair was now a dark blue.

“Oh come on sour puss! You need to get out more anyway; those animals of your sisters are starting to take up all your time!” Aimee giggled as she ran ahead of him. Aimee had matured quicker than Takani. She was well endowed and her bright red hair was now down to her hips, she was about six foot tall and slender.

Takani finally caught up to her as she crouched behind a stump near the beach “Aimee come on we have to leave! If we get caught—“he was cut short by Aimee’s hushing noise.

“If you don’t quiet down we’ll surely be caught!” she whispered watching an orc move a flag to the edge of the camp. “What do you think their doing?” she looked at him.

“Probably scouting the area, I’m sure they could use more of our trees…” He said spitting on the ground.

“Oh come on, Shorty. I’m sure it’s more than just that, maybe their trying to ally with the Naga!” Aimee sneered.

Takani rolled his eyes and grabbed her shoulder “Either way we need to go. If they catch us there’s no telling what they’ll do.”

Aimee sighed and nodded they trotted back to Takani’s house and sat in the grass. They sat there for a few hours before a caravan paused, a young night elf sat atop it. “Evening friends, I am Tralad. Might I ask if this is the way to Auberdine?”
Takani nodded “Yes sir, continue to follow the road north. How do you not know where Auberdine is though, you are of our kind.”

Tralad nodded “Aye, that I am sir however I was born and raised in Eastern Kingdoms. I know very little about Kalimdor. Now who might you two be?”

Aimee jumped to her feet her face flushing red “I-I am Adelle Shadeleaf! T-This is Takani Windsong, Nice to meet you Tralad!”

Takani blinked at her actions but then his lips broke into a wide grin, but said nothing.

“Ah, it is nice to meet you both then; I am staying in Auberdine for a time. Madam Adelle would you like to accompany me to dinner sometime? You’re welcome as well Takani.” Tralad smiled looking directly at Aimee.

Takani smiled “I believe I shall have to decline my sisters animals do not tend to themselves.”

Aimee looked at Takani “Oh! You and those damn animals Shorty! I swear!” She then turned her attention back to the caravan driver “I’ll gladly accompany you.”

Tralad nodded and smiled broadly “I am glad! I shall fetch for you later this eve, take care till then!” and with that Tralad guided his horses towards Auberdine.

Takani grinned at Aimee “Aimee, you’re as red as your hair.”

Aimee punched him in the arm “I am not!”
*******************************************************
Takani slammed his fist into the wooden wall next to him “She wouldn’t have died if I had gotten her to Darnassus in time!” He cried “I was too late, if only….Damn….Where in Elune’s name was Tralad!?”

Sydana looked at him “Tak…you can’t beat yourself up about this…you tried, you got her to Auberdine. It’s not your fault!”

Tak looked at his eldest sister “You don’t understand…I was at the docks! Aimee couldn’t stand the strain of the twins! If I had just known sooner…” Tak sat down on the nearest chair, covering his face with his hands.

Syeana got up from her seat and knelt before him wrapping her younger brother in a hug. “Tak…you did all you could do…you tried…that’s all that she wanted.”

Tak looked from her to Sydana and nodded “I know…but….I can’t help but think maybe if I had just…been there sooner.”

Sydana walked up and patted him on the cheek “Takani, you were a great friend to her. All those years she trusted you with her life. Tralad is a bastard for leaving her, you stood by her.”

He nodded and gently pushed Syeana away “I’m….going to go to her grave. I…need to say good-bye.”

He stood and walked out the door. He walked up the road towards Auberdine, turning off just a few yards away and down a winding pass. He walked over to the small burial site; upon the grave sat a stone engraved on it were the words “To an amazing person and a loving friend.” “I’m sorry Aimee…I couldn’t save you, I tried. May Elune guide you and your child now…I will find Tralad…if not for you, but for myself” he said tears forming in his eyes, his fist clenched in anger. He heard a soft growl come from beside him when he turned he saw a white stripped frostsaber cub. He walked closer to it making sure not to scare it and began to coax it a little closer. The cub slowly walked up to him and rubbed his head again his knee.

“Alone aren’t you little guy?” he said, the cub looking up at him and tilted his head to one side. “Well…come on then…I’ll take you home with me. No sense you staying out here.”

He stood taking a finally look at the small grave before walking back down the path, the small cub following playfully behind him.
**********************************************************
Present day….

Aimee looked around the small tent unable to remember exactly what happened. Her head hurt and her side made a sharp pain each time she moved. Despite this she slowly sat up, cursing the pain and got a better look around the tent. She saw wounded soldiers and healers; a few were Ebon Blades that she didn’t recognize. She heard the flap open and looked towards the door. A large white cat strolled in, upon its shoulders were the markings of a druid and upon his right eye was a scar.

She blinked at the cat only once and then a smirk ran across her face “Alright Shorty, get over here.”

A large toothy grin appeared on the cats face “How could you tell it was me?”

“I’d recognize you anywhere, Shorty. Besides you did shift when you were in Ymirheim!” she smirked tapping him on the nose.

“I’m glad to see you’re up. How are you feeling?” Takani said his feline eyes inspecting her.

She smiled reaching out and petting him on the ears “I’m fine; docs say I’ll be out in no time….It’s been a while, Shorty.” Her eyes grew sad and her hands began to clench his fur.

Takani looked at her and frowned “I’m sorry…” She blinked at him “What for Shorty? You didn’t do anything wrong.”

He shook his head and looked at her “I couldn’t save you….when you needed me most. I couldn’t save you…or the little ones…”

Her eyes grew wide and she looked at her lap “So…they didn’t make it…” tears began to well up in her eyes “…It’s not your fault…it’s that bastard Tralad’s…”

Takani sighed “…I’m sorry. I tried to find him…he just…disappeared.”

She smiled at him tears still flowing down her cheeks “It’s alright Shorty. I thank you for all you did for me.”

Takani smiled at her “How did…you become a death knight…? I had buried you outside of Auberdine…” He tilted his head in thought.

“I don’t know…All that I do know is that I just recently got my memory back. I knew nothing of my past under the Lich Kings rule and now…it’s all like a bad dream. Like a nightmare…that just won’t end.” She frowned “It will be alright…so what have you been up to!? Have you finally gotten a girlfriend yet!?”

Takani blinked “I…um…did. I hope you get to meet her soon.”

Aimee blinked and a wide wicked grin crossed her face “I’ll have to tell her a few of your secrets! I’m sure she’d like to know a lot more about her boyfriend.”

Takani looked at her his ears going flat “You wouldn’t….would you!?”

Aimee laughed “Depends; besides I need to get some rest. I’ll keep you in touch on the buzzbox now that I know which frequency you run.”

“Oh…you always were good with details…anyway I’ll leave you to your rest. Take care Aimee” Takani purred trotting out the door.

Aimee eyes followed Takani “If only you knew what happened that night Shorty….If only you knew…” she thought lying on her back and quickly falling asleep.

Takani walked through the snow that had built up rather quickly over the night and made his way to the cliff that over looked Ymirheim. He looked down and planned his route, searching for the easiest route down to the snowy village below him. The paths were narrow and rocky but accessible and with each slope a guard was placed. He found the easiest and quickest way down and shifted into his cat form and made his way down to Ymirheim, being cautious of the guards who were posted on the towers. He snuck his way behind a building and quickly buried himself into the snow making sure to cover his pink mane and did his best to not move. He sat like this for what seemed like hours, the sun slowly creeping over the mountains shining down on the vrykul town. He watched the patrols and listened to their chatter watching their paths and planning a route to each vrykul tower and home.

As the last patrol passed him he quickly moved to the next building and then the next. He did this for a few buildings until he came to the last building in the row. It was built on the mountain, a harpoon launcher sat atop the tower with a vrykul manning it. He was watching the skies and not paying attention to anything below him, Takani easily got to the edge of the building and made his way to a small corner and crouched down when he heard a moan behind him. It was barely audible and he thought he was just hearing things when he heard it again. He turned around and his eyes widened when he saw a night elf female leaned against the mountainside clutching her side. He walked up to her and inspected her wounds healing her with what little the healers at the Citadel door had shown him. She slowly rose to a sitting position, the bright blue glow in her eyes slowly coming back.

He blink “You’re pretty badly beaten up….lie back down.” He whispered.

She looked at him out of the corner of her eyes “I’m fine I need to get back to my troop….they’re probably at the Shadow Vaults by now.”

He frowned “You’re in no condition to move now lie back down.”

She looked up at him her brows furrowed in anger “Druid, I don’t…..” She stopped short, her eyes widening at the sight of Takani’s face.

He blinked “What’s wrong?” he looked behind him to be sure nothing was there and turned back to face her.

“I….T-Takani…? I-Is that you…?” Her eyes were still wide as they ran across his face inspect him

He blinked “That’s my name but how do you know it?”

“I-It’s me! Aimee!” she said scrambling to her knees and grabbed Takani around the collar “Don’t you recognize me!?”

Takani blinked at her for a moment then brushed the snow from her hair, his eyes widened as the snow revealed bright red hair “A-Aimee!? What are you doing here! I thought you were dead!?”

Aimee looked at him a frown crossing her lips “I did too…but then…I found myself in the Acherus over New Avalon…I couldn’t remember anything. My name was all I knew, then when we were liberated…I…remembered it all.”

Takani looked at her and frowned “It’s over, it’s alright. We’ll have to talk later but first we need to get you….”

His words were cut short by loud footsteps coming from around the corner, He turned to see a vrykul stop and roar, his weapons at the ready. Takani shifted back into his cat form and watched as the vrykul slowly moved forward. Then he heard a loud roar and a large cat with glowing eyes pounced on top of the vrykul and slammed it into the mountain side from a distance he could hear the twang of a bow. The vrykul lay dead in the snow and the cat trudged up to look at Takani curiously, Aimee had moved to lean on him and he shifted from his cat form and inspected her wounds.

Lark moved from around the corner carefully making sure the noise didn’t alert any of the others and moved quickly to the three in the corner. Takani looked at Lark “What are you doing here?” He slowly moved Aimee back to lean against the mountainside, her teeth clenched in pain.

Lark stopped a few steps away. “I was doing a fly-by for the Crusade, and saw the commotion,” she said, looking them both over. Komah moved to her side. “Need any help?”

Takani looked from Aimee to Lark “I need you to take her back to the Skybreaker. I’m sure the medics there will take care of her.”

Aimee gave Takani a side glance “I’m going back to the Shadow Vaults, Shorty. I have no business aboard the Skybreaker.”

Takani frowned “I don’t care and will you please not call me that? Lark if you will? I need some help.”

Lark frowned thoughtfully, then nodded. “I think Wynd can carry double.” She paused to stare at the death knight.

“Provided no one tries any shenanigans. I don’t care if you don’t want to go, you need some medical attention if you want to be able to fight again.” Without waiting for an answer, she turned and gave a sharp whistle.

Wynd flapped down to land beside his mistress, and Lark turned to the death knight, helping her climb up to the pad behind the saddle. Then she swung up herself, giving Tak a look as she settled. “Be careful out here, druid,” she said. “I’d hate to have to explain to your friends how you died because I left you here.” With that she nudged the gryphon, who jumped into the air, climbing laboriously but steadily upward. Lark turned him toward the nearest Alliance camp, and they passed out of Tak’s sight.
Tak watched as they flew away and slowly looked around. He shifted into his cat form, he moved slowly through the town scouting the towers he had missed and made his way to the closest secluded place he could find. He shifted into his bird form and flew away from the vyrkul village.

He landed on the Skybreaker and walked into the captain’s room and handed him a report, stating each patrols location and their routes, even each tower with harpoons. “Here.” He said giving the captain a look.

He started to walk out when the captain piped up “Actually, I need you to guide a plane through there. We need those troops in that village to keep the vyrkul at bay.”

Tak looked over his shoulder and glared at the captain “If you think I’ll help you send troops to their death? You’re wrong, find someone else.” The captain blinked at him as he slammed the door on the way out. Tak clenched his fists and shifting back into his bird form, flew toward Dalaran.

A few days later, it was like the four of them were old friends. Pa had relaxed greatly about the idea of his daughter being romantically tied to a non-human race, mainly due to Takani’s good nature and helpful attitude. Ma had adored him from the start. The third morning Tak had gone outside to tend Snow, while Pa and Fallah sat at the table finishing their breakfast. She watched him walk past the kitchen window, walking through the sheep pasture to reach his big white cat. A few moments passed, and then her father started laughing. She glanced up and burst into giggles. Takani had run past, in elven form, with their ornery old goat hot on his heels. Behind the goat was the entire flock of sheep for that pasture, happily following wherever the goat went. And then, just when she had caught her breath, here they came again, only this time Takani had shifted into cat form in order to outpace the hooved monsters behind him, and gracefully cleared the fence. Pa jogged out the front door at that point and called the goat away from where he was ramming his horns into the fence slats, leaving Fallah laughing hysterically at the table.

Takani had been eager to meet her cousin Corina, so the third day was spent riding back to Goldshire to lend Corina a hand at the forge. Corina had been delighted to meet Takani and was grateful for two extra pairs of hands, even if Takani was a complete novice to blacksmithing. Corina sent him running back and forth for tools and supplies while she and Fallah kept the fires going and actually swung the hammers.

While he was out of earshot she had grinned at Fallah and whispered, “You have excellent taste in men, cousin. Yum!”

Fallah grinned at Corina. “Don’t you go trying to steal him away from me!”
“If I thought I could get away with it, I might. For now I’ll just have to stare at him. Discreetly.”
Takani had returned then, his arms full of the empty crates they needed for packing horseshoes, and Corina kept her word. Takani was oblivious to the extra attention. The work took the entire day and by the end of it, Fallah’s arms ached and her hands were raw when she removed her gloves.
“Too many hours spent on your books, Fals! You’re out of practice! Next semester, make a few trips out here, I’ll keep you from losing your touch.”
Fallah sighed as Takani began rubbing her sore arms, working out some of the bigger knots. “That’s probably a good idea, Corina. They have me doing arms practice- you know, swordsmanship and whatnot? But it isn’t nearly as hard as working the forge all day! Light above, I’m exhausted.”
Corina took them both back to her small cottage and they had a simple supper together. A rabbit stew had been simmering on the stove all day, and she had baked a loaf of bread that morning before heading to work. All three of them ate quickly, barely speaking until the bowls were empty. Takani and Fallah returned to the Steele’s farm just as the sun slipped over the horizon. They went straight to bed after a cursory hello to her parents.
Takani awoke close to the middle of the night. He had been tossing and turning for most of it, unable to fully go to sleep. He slowly got out of his bed and walked outside making sure not to wake any of the others sleeping in the adjacent rooms. He went outside and found Snow curled up next to the well, and the cat raised his massive head to stare at Takani long enough to study him and then laid his head back on the ground. “Tired old friend?” Tak said in a low whisper, a smile crossing his lips. Tak laid down against Snow who purred softly and reassuringly and Tak quickly fell asleep.

*************************
A full week’s time after their initial arrival found them mounted up and saying their farewells to Angeline and Richard. Their packs were stuffed full nearly to bursting, mostly with carefully wrapped bundles of Ma’s home cooking. Ma had hugged Takani goodbye warmly and Pa had even pulled him in for a half-embrace after a handshake. Fallah coaxed Autumn into a trot, not wanting to prolong the process, and Snow easily matched pace so that Fallah and Takani could chat on the ride home.
“So? What did you think?”
“Your mother is wonderful. She made me feel at home-well, not home like growing up, but I felt like she considered me part of her family.”
“And Pa?”
“Your father is…well…he’s…” he paused, searching for the right word. “Gruff.”
“Yes, he can be gruff. But I think you brought him around to our way of thinking!”
“I don’t know about that, but I think he respects me now. He no longer thinks I’m unworthy to be courting you.”
Fallah nodded. “After that first day, after I spoke with him, I think he warmed up. He promised he’d give you a fair chance and I think he did. He was pretty ignorant about kaldorei, especially druids. He was glad to hear that you aren’t a moonkin.”
Takani laughed. “I’m definitely not a moonkin. I can just imagine how well that would have gone over.”
Their shared laughter broke the early morning stillness of the road back to Stormwind.
“Did I ever tell you that your Ma and I had a good talk that first day as well?”
“No! You didn’t tell me. What did she say?”
“Well, basically she said that no male creature of any kind was ever going to be good enough, in your father’s eyes, to court you, not to mention marry you. I must have had quite the expression on my face because she rushed over and gave me this big hug. She told me not to worry about what he thought, to just be myself. She claimed to be a great judge of character and said you had inherited that particular talent from her.”
“She said that?” Fallah asked with surprise.
Takani nodded. “Yes. And she said that if you thought I was a good choice, she trusted in that choice automatically. She said she would talk to your father, try to get him to come around.”
“That was kind of her.”
“It was. Then she asked me a whole bunch of questions about my family and my childhood and my people. Good questions, not ignorant ones. I like her a lot.”
“Hmm. Strange that Ma would be so openminded when Pa is the one who was out and about in the world and she was the one stuck on the farm raising me.”
Takani shrugged.
“I think it went very well,” Fallah said. “They were grateful for the help and I know they were dying to meet you as soon as I said I had a new person in my life. I really need to try and visit them more this summer, and next semester too. Their farm would be a nice quiet place to study.”
“Would you want me to tag along?”
“Of course! You wouldn’t have to come, if you were busy, but I know they would welcome you back.”
At that point they road through the gates of Stormwind, Autumn’s hooves ringing on the cobblestones.
Fallah grinned at the sight of the early morning crowds in the city. “As much as I enjoy seeing my parents? It’s good to be home again.”

Well to begin with I finally got off my arse and leveled Takani.
((Terrible Picture but hey! I tried ))

Well…shortly after that ((About 3 days worth)) of Heroic spamming the Queue I get 3 pieces of his Tier 9 and a bunch of upgrades. Now I’m trying for the Red Proto Drake. I have been achievement spamming my guild constantly for the last 3 days.

Tonight’s Heroic was The Oculus. I had an awesome group. I got 4 achievements at once in there. Northrend Dungeon Hero, Heroic: Oculus, Make it Count, and Amber Void. That’s a pretty good Line-up!

Yet what was really special…well let’s have a pic tell the tale huh?
